Sports Illustrated model Christie Brinkley looks smoking hot in white dress as she celebrates publication's 50th birthday

The American beauty looked stunning in the figure-hugging dress which showed off her impressive figure perfectly

Christie Brinkley proves once again that age is just a number.

The 59-year-old supermodel sported a low-cut white bandage dress and grey jacket as she left the Today Show on Tuesday.

Blonde bombshell Christine - who turns 60 in February - appeared on the American programme to talk about Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful.

She started posing for the iconic swimsuit issue in 1975, and went on to grace the cover for a record three years in a row.

American actress Kate Upton, 21, will follow in Christie’s footsteps if she ends up being 2014’s cover girl.

 

Christie said: “When I did my first issue ... I did a picture sort of from the side in a thong and it was so racy at the time.

“The magazine came out in America and everybody started calling me in Paris and going, ‘Oh my gosh, everybody’s talking about you. You’re in a magazine, you’re practically naked!’”

 

And it seems the star didn't just spend her time posing in revealing clothing on the set of the Sports Illustrated shoots - she once streaked through a hotel in which she was staying while in the Seychelles with the publication.

Recalling the trip, Christie revealed the time she was showering in her room soon after her arrival and darted straight out of her bathroom, through her suite and out into the hotel in full view of fellow guests with no clothes on after finding a huge spider on her leg.

 

She said: "I just tear stark naked out the front door and there is the restaurant with all the English bird watchers there and this person said, 'Oh, that's a strange bird.' ... There may be a British person with a shot of me streaking."
